Welding

To obtain a new band saw blade, a toothed steel roll is cut to the desired length, its edges are aligned so that the tooth pitch is the same in the welding area and then welding is performed. Welding can be done in two ways: with or without added material. To avoid modifying the blade structure by using alloy, our company acquired in 2015 the latest technology of flash butt welding. The welded area is then subjected to a de-tensioning process which eliminates the tensions arisen during welding and once it has cooled off it is straightened. To repair cracks we are only using MIG/MAG welding technology with added material, in a protected environment.
